Ted, your perception was that Newt was bad and you didn't even notice that McDermott had lost in court for harassing Newt. When I observe bias, it is generally brought to light. You are not even bothered that McDermott is still in the house. Where and when have I said that Gingrich was a bad, bad boy? The worst that I have said about Gingrich is that he's a hypocrite. It seems you just want to start trouble for trouble's sake.My perception was that Newt had left public life after he had been discovered to have made a mistake, and that McDermott's illegal tape had played a part in it. The difference is that I will admit to having less than perfect perception. You are always griping about the right. Such as: Yes, I was aware of Gingrich and his past behavior. It always has mystified me how the right can be so critical of others when their own house is not in order. And yet they do it.....over and over again. You complain about Newt, but see no problem with Jim. Your house is neither in order, nor clean. I think McDermott got what he deserved......a stiff fine. However, I still think of the two crimes Gingrich's was the 'badder' of the two. Sorry, but the Senate Ethics Committee and the Justice Dept agree with me on this one.Again this brings us to the perception issue. Democrats stand for corruption: Teddy Kennedy - do we even need to list his cheating in high school and colege, his failure to report his causing the death of a young woman, his many other failings that would disqualify any Republican from public office. Bill Clinton: Perjurer in Chief. Like it or not, perjury is a crime. But, since he is a Democrat, it is ok. Jim McDermott: Complains about the Patriot Act while violating the laws he claims to hold sacred. Hitched a ride to Bagdad to do his Tokyo Rose impression. Omitted "Under God" from the Pledge of Allegence. Al Gore: Tried to steal an election. Terry McCauliffe: Made $18 Million Dollars in a short time on a $100K investement in Global Crossing before they went bankrupt. Hillary Clinton: Made $100,000 on futures contracts by illegal assignment after the profits were determined. testifed "I don't recall" over 200 times in one deposition. John F. Kerry: Traitor, nuanced liar, and all around flip flopper. Tom Daschle: stops government with newly invented rights of the vile partisans. Harry Reid: Bigot. Robert Torricelli: Convicted of bribery. Supported by Democrats after his conviction, until opinion polls turned against him. McGreevy: NJ Governor had to wait until after the election so he could prevent the people of NJ from electing a new Governor. (They might elect a Republican) And here are examples from the right: bartcop.com NJ Court: Invent a right to change the Constitution to allow a Democrat Lautenberg to go on the ballot after the 60 day cutoff to prevent a Republican from winning a Senate seat. As if the GOP don't use similar tactics..........come on.....both parties are guilty of this ca ca.Massachusetts Court: Instructs the legislature to change the law to recognize a newly invented constitutionally protected right to gay marriage. Courts often do that......its what courts do.BTW - I am not aware of who leaked the facts Wilson's wife being a CIA operative. Perhaps you can show me proof of what you seem to "know". LOL. It sure wasn't Dem! You do the math!
