Congratulations Biotech Jim. I will send out a check today. Unfortunately my picks were down about 6% thanks mainly to MLNM and LGND. My thinking was that 2004 was going to be a tough year and these companies had products - all they had to do was sell them. Hah. Fat chance! Kudos to those who picked ELN. ELN saved my personal portfolio in 2003 but I got out at about $8.00 when others were getting in for a nice run. Really a good lesson in biotech valuation. Jack

Jim: My congrats as well! Although I didn't enter the contest, I'd like to send a small contribution to the Meals on Wheels charity you chose - in your honor, as well as in tribute to all the terrific SI Biotech folks.
Should I just make the check payable to Meals on Wheels Program or do I need to put the Beaver Dam stuff in as well?
Happy Challahdays to all!
Bulba

Biotech Jim,

Please add my congratulations for your excelling smarts, analysis and instinct: Pledge of $250 on the way this week.

(I don't have a way of calculating my performance to date, but
none too stellar, I'm sure: I think there was OSCI, COR, PPCO and POZN--laggards and losers all; then TLRK, ALXN, and INCY, I think, and a couple of thers, cuz no record--but who cares?)

The things I forgot to do:

Forgot to get my check off to meals on wheels,
I will do it tommorrow I promise!

I found out today that my driver's license
expired four months ago.

Just found two Christmas cards jammed in
the middle of December Nature Biotechnology.
I was supposed to write something nice and
put those in the mail. Glad I found them
before Christmas.

Congratulations, stellar performance!
I think I sold Elan around $4 and felt
darn smug as it went to $1. Sepracor I
do not remember losing too much on, but
selective memory takes over after a year
or so...sometimes sooner. I probably owned
thousands of shares at one time or another
in the single digits. Deep bow for everbody
frosty enough to see things turn around.

Ha, well look at that, I got one of those
thingies when you get the 100th or 1000th
post. Not surprising that I forget whet they're
called.

(edit) GRUB!

Jim, I got back my receipt and thank you note from Beaver Dam. You'll have to let them know that you aren't deceased. I made the contribution in honor of you, not in memory. Big distinction in this case :-)
