RE: "No, I never heard about until you told me. Yes, the incident is horrible. "

I was beginning to wonder if you cared about humans at a deep level or if you were more interested in controlling religious thought than the well-being of the handicapped.

Your delayed acknowledgement still puzzles me though.

RE: "Interesting how your post simply used the incident to "prove" what hypocrites the "religious right" supposedly is "

Reread the post - it specifically says those 3,000 callers. But if you think it fits you too, that's your choice to think so. I certainly wasn't putting you in that horrible light - I wouldn't have bothered posting to you if I thought you were like those 3,000 callers.

Interesting how your post showed that Fox network presumes their religious audience would be more up-in-arms over God material than the head smashing of a mentally retarded. Yet, that doesn't bother you, does it? Consider your priorities here and please do some thinking about this, for the good.

RE: " I'm still waiting for you to denounce the lack of religious freedom in China."

You haven't been reading my posts - go back and look at the numbers. China saves well more than 2 million lives (possibly 50 million) by its approach as compared to India. According to the poster that read and replied to one of my posts on this, he said the estimated death count is 5,000 annually which is a tiny number compared to well more than 2 million lives (or 50 million lives).

RE: "Or the horrible abuses committed by the Taliban, especially against women."

That area is horrible - before and after. More women are getting raped in Taliban and Iraq than what they were before the takeover. Apparently you don't know anyone that lives over there. But it should be easy for you to understand (though apparently not for one poster that replied to my post on this back when): when a takeover happens, crime shoots up if the leadership isn't strong. There's a chance of civil war in either of this countries as evident by the violence, murders and rapes.

RE: "Or the horrible crimes of Saddam Hussein. Does your "lack of acknowledgement" signify your acceptance?"

Your statements above signify you aren't reading my posts. Buy the search feature ($19.95) and you'll find my post compariing the death count between today and Hussein. Unlike you, I consider death counts from both regimes, not just Husseins.

You'll find the article in Knight Ridder - a nationwide syndicate.
