I noticed that, and said, "That will never sell." I've been trying to get access to the committee report all afternoon since the article suggested that was the source of this idea but I haven't been able to get it to download. ssa.gov It's not a bad idea given that the decline in payout will decline in time as private accounts increase. But, like every other entitlement, everyone wants a free lunch--private accounts with no tradeoffs. The more I read about this, the more I think the whole thing will be a tough sell.
