Will remain hopeful thru the elections and then most probably will support an exit strategy. We can claim victory over saddam and some sort of iraqi democracy in place. Thats important for us to do. Strategy then is to get the new iraqi regime talking to the insurgents and visa versa thus separating nationalist/baathist elements from the terrorists and then perhaps the nationalists from the die hard baathists. How it all winds up is an open question right now. As far as cheney running the show, until bush shows me different i have to accept that as fact and hope cheney sees the light. This no doubt that is a tight admin but they are not stupid and the situation in iraq is far from good. Will they rather fight than switch knowing that a draft will create a domestic situation they do not want? Will they continue to fight with too few forces, assuming that the insurrection doesnt become less serious in the next few months? mike
