If they were so freaked out by the commies who mostly maintained a cold war with the West, how horrified must they be by the Muslims who actually staged an attack on US soil? I can see this is not going to end well.

John Birch Society of the right are kind of like the Michael Moore of the left. The only difference is that John Birch Society has been driven out / marginalized from the GOP almost a half century ago, while Michael Moore wing (the crazies) are in process of taking over the Dem party now.
