The NYT is sounding more like the National Enquirer every day.

When it comes to local politics, the NYT is as human as anybody else. The Kerik story is juicier than most. There's something about Kerik getting caught screwing his married editor and coworkers while getting ready to marry his dental hygienist that brings out the Schadenfreude.

Should we care? Maybe not. But we do.

Not too different than laughing at Maureen Dowd because Michael Douglas dumped her for Catherine Zeta-Jones, is it?
