This nation has a public school system dedicated to educating children until they are about 18 years old. It's available to you if you want it. Public money should not be used to fund private or parochial schools although in my district, the public school system does provide bus transportation for parochial school kids. The system is funded by real estate taxes on property owners whether they have kids in the system or not. I never thought that was fair but my income taxes go to support a lot things I don't support. An income tax would be fairer but that would not encourage senior citizens to leave their homes and make them available for turnover to younger people raising families. If seniors were to stay, the municipality income would drop drastically and the town would die.
