I hope that Congress passes some labor reform bills, but I don't know if they have the guts to do it. Clamping down on the public unions alone would save a fortune. As I've said before, I'd really like to see something done about federal employee unions. I don't know enough about other government labor law to know what role, if any, the feds have in that. I question whether tackling private unions would be a smart move. They've weakened so much that I'm not sure they matter and an assault on them might be perceived as piling on. If it turns out that they might make inroads with Walmart, though, that's another ball game.
