Smithee, Yes, he is to be housed in San Quentin. And yes, San Quentin' age is showing and, technically speaking, it is not maximum security. There has been talk of tearing it down. After all, it does occupy some prime ocean real estate. I don't know why they do not send more of the really bad guys to Pelican Bay in Crescent City. I think that is where Charles Manson and perhaps Richard Ramirez now reside. You lived in San Francisco when it was still a great place to be. I lived there from 1987 until 1999. I lived most of my life in SoCal and much prefer the SF Bay area, or further north, if I ever again have to live in California. - Holly
