Gus > The government hacks and mouthpieces could hold sway in the age of broadcast, top-down communication... but they're overwhelmed, almost irrelevant, in our brave-new, bottom-up, authority-averse blogosphere I wouldn't go quite as far as that because one has to know what the official line is. But I do agree that the internet has given rise to a new phenomenon of world wide instant and un-official communication of concepts, values, information and ideas which is incredibly exciting and enormously powerful.
