Some of the ire directed at Kerik is no doubt intended to bounce off him and hit Rudy, as a pre-emptive strike at a Republican front-runner, and Dubya, out of sheer venom, but nevertheless, this guy was supposed to become the next Secretary of Homeland Security. Maybe that seems like a nebulous post, since it's new and not really shook down yet, but they've taken over INS/Immigration, among other agencies. How can a guy with illegal nanny problems run Immigration? What was he thinking?
