I am no expert on this subject and was neither attacking nor defending star wars, just what i sensed was the delight you take in being right about something at the expense of our nations interests. It is in our interest that the money spent produces something that works. If you are right, the money is wasted but our national security is not enhanced. There are times one should root to be wrong when it is clearly in his interest to be so. Same with iraq too. It is in our interest to either somehow win or get out with honor intact. Actually i think you agree with that. mike
