thx jeff... i'm following this case via the media (obviously that says alot), but thusfar, two things seem to stand out; 1. prosecution has made a case for extortion and insider trading; 2. elginy's defense, (if you can call it that) is KILLING him. every witness put on by the defense killed him; peter says "yea i knew i was trading on privileged info"; next guy says "yea i knew it was privileged, but i didn't think it was wrong"; sec attorney says "yea he gave us info and he cooperated as a witness in 96-97 because he was doing illegal things and didn't want to go to jail (ie he ratted on his friends to keep himself out of jail)". i have not heard anything that helped him; has he even addressed extortion and insider trading? mind you i only know what i'm reading from carol redmonds articles so there's lots that's missed, but... nobody we knew on the site knew there was any privileged info being discussed on the site. everyone we knew thought elgindy was a bloviating liar; we didn't believe a word he said. i stated earlier it would be amusing watching breen try to make elgindy look credible and elgindy prove he was a liar. thusfar it seems breen has made elgindy look credible and elgindy has tried to make himself look like james bond; breen has succeeded, elgindy has failed miserably - imo because his ego refuses to allow him to paint the real picture; that he was a big fat liar... it would appear elgindy and his massive ego designed this defense, not an attorney. current score: breen 89 elgindy 2 back in a sec, i need more popcorn...
