Yep, I have done that too. My last day of working and paid the car off that same day. Did not tear the door off, but bent it forward pretty good. When I took it to be repaired the mechanic looked at me and said, "Are you telling me the truth?" So I guess not many women have done this to their cars...LOL

I was backing out of the driveway and evidently had not closed my door good and was looking over my right shoulder to be sure I did not hit the right gate and breaking just before the incline of the driveway and all of sudden I hear this crunch to my left and looked and the door had swung open and was bent back from catching on the left front gate. Husband had to come out and bend the door back so it would nearly close and wire it so it would not come open while driving.

It was Friday the 13th too and after getting to work, my neighbor where my five year old daughter was playing called me from the ER to tell me she had fallen off the hanging bar in their backyard and broke her elbow cap. Told me the Dr. said if it did not heal right her arm would never grow any longer. I was a basket case and my boss told me to go on home to take care of her and enjoy not working. I was thankful for his kindness as well as my neighbor deciding to get her to the ER first and then calling me and was able to keep an eye on her and she healed perfectly. I was so happy to be able to quit work, but that Friday the 13th was more than a bad hair day for me. (LOL)

The insurance company said it was the only claim they had ever had where the door came off because of the accident in the driveway.

ROTFL!! They probably got a picture of ya'll still posted up in the break room to commemorate the event!!!
