Excellent idea (and I have no desire to "punish" you. You have told me you have relatives who are black, and that's why the comparison offends you. I think the gay community is unlucky you don't have relatives who are gay- then maybe it wouldn't offend you (assuming you liked your gay hypothetical relative). I have relatives as diverse as you do (I'm guessing) but I don't take the same offense to the comparison. I don't think pointing that is punishment.)
