Yeehaa for your feathered girl!! I know that pets can become family very fast.

The "study" by the NCI dosed their targets with roughly 4 times the recommended amount of Celebrex, daily for 3 years!! People who actually use the drug take 1 to 200 mg per dose and not on a daily basis, only for control of inflamation flare-up for pain. I've used NSAID's for a couple of years to control inflamation in L3/L4 vertabre stenosis....it does the trick everytime. If I keep up my excersise/streching programs, I only have to use the drug once or twice a month, mostly due to overextending myself.

This whole thing kind of reminds me of the "don't eat fish, mercury posion" crap that went on back in the 70's and 80's...you had to eat 300lbs of Tuna 7 days a week to get the same amount of mercury as used in the test subjects. (rodents as I recall) LOL Of course mercury is bad for you, but it is also a natrual part of your biological make up too. All things in moderation!!! LOL

The birds are beautiful!!! One of my partners got interested in birds about a year before we both retired...he started with Larakeets, then the small green parrots....Last I knew he had 3 large grey parrots and 6 macaws, two were blue and golds like your baby. I think he had 15 birds total and loved every one of them. LOL If you knew this guy you would never believe he could "love" very many things, particularly a small animal that needed alot of attention.
