Mine has the 33% reduction. Top corner of the annual report that gets sent out to workers says to plan on receiving "2/3 benefits"

Fortunately, I have the benefit of knowing the economists that work directly on SS, that the public and media do not have access to. It's amazing how much gets hidden from the public.

I think you just missed the message because the warning is certainly on mine, but it could be they print the 33% reduction only for Gen X and Gen Y, since Congress has promised to protect the boomers from any reductions.

You don't need to worry about a reduction, given your age. The SS economist said the boomers will be protected by Congress. It's the next generation that'll get screwed. So it really should be a Gen X and Gen Y decision as to how we get screwed - do we want the 33% reduction with nothing or a 40% reduction that comes with a 16% decrease in taxes thru privatization.
