My mom is very middle of the road (even, with New Age leanings), but she didn't like the Unitarians and has been going to a Presbyterian church for years. She does good things there and we have some great spiritual discussions. I'd love to see more Christians like my mother! I've been digging through family stuff of her childhood... lots of pretty heavy stuff there ... even a little pamphlet presumably supplied by the Jobs Daughters about how a girl kept her virtue. Pot boiler stuff. Not a lot of hell and damnation, though. I didn't know until I looked it up that it was part of the Masons. My grandfather and greatgrandfather were both high up in the Masons. Don't know much about it ... my brother got granddad's masonic ring. BTW, apparently they are recruiting. They are down to 1.2 MM from 4.7 MM after WWII.
