Okay Tim, we'll just have to agree to use the expression, 'sexual selection' in different ways. We both know what's happening in terms of the reject bloke's end-of-the-line body and DNA being recycled into CO2 for some more successful beings to have a turn at making the carbon useful, leaving the human gene pool for others to populate.

I say women's fertility choice is the mating choice which matters, not the fake sexual shenanigans they might get up to. You think if he has his sterile way, then he was sexually successful in sexual selection.

Suppose two blokes are both in luck [a bit like Mr Blunkett and Mrs Quinn's husband news.scotsman.com ]. But she prefers one as father, so uses contraception only with the other one. Would that be sexual selection? If not, what would you call it?
