I've been meaning to find more information about shortages during other wars. I've googled a few times and the information I've found confirms that what is/has happened in Iraq is not unusual or unique. I bet if one looked hard enough there would also be several examples of complaints and concerns regarding troop supplies by congressmen, media. I thought this was an interesting question and answer site. How did WWII affect America's economy? faqfarm.com I expect there to be future sites that ask the same questions about the WOT. Glad to hear about the extra service those in the military are receiving.......they deserve to go to the front of the line, first dibs on free transportation, best rooms, seating ect.........from us all.
