The Republicans are after exactly that. A forced savings program. Telling people to "save or starve in old age" doesn't work. The concept here is that once it is proven successful, the % of forced savings in the program will be upped over this century to the point where it is all forced savings, with a Government guarantee if disaster hits.

The amount of capital that this will create over this century is absolutely staggering. It increases the personal wealth of this country beyond imagination.

I'm married to a Scot, and he's as tight as they get. A product of his Scot father, and so on and so on.

I did that and it worked for me, but then I had a Scottish uncle who taught me at a tender age.
