Are you a musician?

Only a frustrated wannabe. And yes, that Bosendorfer concert grand is an instrument to behold!

Started piano as a youngster. My mother was a pretty fair musician/pianist.

I took lessons early on and migrated to woodwins and played saxophone through high school.

My mother was fortunate enough to get to play my great aunt's 1907 Steinway grand from time to time. But she got married, grew a family (me included ;-)) and drifted away from the piano.

When my great aunt died, I inherited her Steinway. We brought it to Dallas, had it completely restored and refurbished and our two children grew up with it. I putz around with it from time to time, but with the many things I have going in my life, the playing has suffered. When we moved to the Ozarks, the piano came along and demanded that we build it a special room. We did and there it sets. Just like it did in my great aunt's home. And it gets used by our children and hopefully, in the future, our grandchildren.

My hobby now is playing little ditties on my six dollar "penny whistle".

Thanks for the welcome!

My husband gets no relief from Aleve OR Celebrex. He likes generic Ibuprofen.

My mother gets no relief from aspirin, she likes Aleve or Tylenol. Ibuprofen tears up her stomach.

For OTC, I like buffered aspirin best, also get good relief from generic Ibuprofen, get no relief from Aleve, but take Celebrex because it's easy on the gastric system, and I have a tendency to gastritis.

It's nice to have choices.
