Hi Okrious!

I have been to visit CDE a couple of times at their office in Idaho, and I think they are actually very well managed. They are working to develop two large, low cost mines, one in Alaska and one in Bolivia, that will dramaticaly improve their net operating margins and increase production. They are also working to increase the reserves of their silver mine in Idaho, one of the largest silver deposits in the world outside of Mexico. I am impressed that they have cleaned up their heavy debt load, although that was accomplished through the issuance of shares and resulted in dilution. They are also doing an excellent job of reclamation once the mines close, as illustrated by the effort at their New Zealand open pit operation that has since won environmental awards for the process. Lastly they have excellent corporate governance, and a clear vision.

I do not own any CDE but I certainly have considered it. The company looks expensive on the basis of P/E comparisons, but no other silver play offers the same amount of leverage to a rising POS. Even FR, which is my favourite silver stock and I own it in my PF, does not come close to the upside for earnings if silver runs to $15 or more.

JMHO...
