Uh... the point is that, once, our whole ME policy revolved around Israel's right to exist - that's why we started mucking about in the ME in the first place - back in 1948 we didn't need Arab oil. If you have been following foreign policy for more than a fortnight, then you'd know that this was the ENTIRE justification for our presence in the ME at one time.

Clearly, despite the protestations of rich Texas oil men and arms merchants that it's not about the oil, it probably is. We're in bed with the Israelis who seem to have learned nothing about their own experience in the holocaust and appear determined to be racist and repressive now that they are at the helm.

I for one feel that if the SOB spying Israelis (NOT Jews, BTW, they are different) want to spy on us and sell weapons to our enemies using technology they steal from us, then they can defend their own damn selves and build their own damn weapons. And if they threaten international peace with anything OTHER than strictly defensive weapons, then we slap them with sanctions like Iraq, and equally, tell them to get out of the territories they took by agression.

Yeah, there's WMD's in the ME, they're in Israel. Where is our condemnation of THEIR WMD's?
