If he wants to see a great series on Hayek and how he fits into 20th centurey economic thought from a very pro-market perspective I suggest the following DVD set. Don't be turned off by the reference to Clinton, it is only a short cameo intro by Bill.

It is called "Commanding Heights" by Daniel Yergin and is a 3DVD set. All 3 are excellent.
