I guess you are right, and I have it from the highest authority. ""The economy is in very solid shape," said N. Gregory Mankiw, chairman of Bush's Council of Economic Advisers."

And there is more good news: "Snow said the government is nowhere near reaching the international lending market's ability to absorb more federal debt, even with the annual government budget deficit near a record in dollar terms already."

It just keeps on getting better and better. Read for yourself the good news and solution to all the economic woes of the U.S.

What a great world we live in. Monetary policy and fiscal jiggering can ensure ever lasting Nirvana for us all! Actual mundane work can be left for others to do, like the less fortunate and obtuse Asians. The government wouldn't lie to the people, would they?

The writer obviously needs to have faith in his leadership. Perhaps a day in school with nothing but quotes from Bush, Snow, Greenspan and a variety of government economists would set him straight. Or a few hours of Kudlow and Cramer might be enough to make him say uncle.
