Well, I do have an alternative suggestion, Ionesco. Once in awhile you could perhaps slip your sweet but towering children some Trader Joe's soy chorizo and potato taquitos (from the frozen section). I think they are awfully good, and my very picky family likes them too. Better baked than microwaved (crispier). Especially good with Trader Joe's delicious fresh guacamole, but just fine on their own for a snack or lunch, or with salad and refried beans and maybe Trader Joe's quick-fix spanish rice for a filling but easy dinner. Absolutely vegan, too.

Ohhhhhh!!!! I forgot to mention some chili I thought was great. I got it at Trader Joe's--they were giving out samples. It is Morningstar vegetarian chili, in a can, and my husband and I thought it was by far the best canned vegetarian chili. Of course Morningstar was bought by a huge conglomerate a few years ago (I forget which one) and possibly has GMO ingredients, but you can't have everything . . .
