kholt, In many circles, the different denominations of the Christian faith are referred to as separate religions. There was a time that I considered that to be wrong, but the denominations have become so far apart in tenets, because of the meddling of common, and flawed, human beings, that they might as well be separate religions. They, certainly, don't believe the same things, which is a pity.

Some try to say that all of the denominations are based on the belief in Jesus as the Christ, but deep down that is not true. Some believe that Jesus wants peace on earth, and then there are others that think it is AOK to blow up abortion clinics, and kill the doctors with the blessings of Jesus. From what I read in the bible, there never should have been denominations in the first place. The reason for even having a religion, is for all who believe in the god of that religion, should be of one mind, and have no conflicts. Because of human nature, that may be an impossible aspiration.
