They are used broadly in diagnostic disease tests and will immediately cause blood to clot. I don't think all milk production is the same and I'm not in favor of high production dairy arrangements. There is an equivalent of the free range chicken where milk production is lower, but of a higher quality. I felt this way in the UK when we were there. Many people have been drinking milk for a long period of time and the Hindus have traced their dairy business back to many, many thousands of years (possibly 10,000). Many yogis have diets that are relatively high in dairy yet live long healthy and spiritually deep lives. Milk, yoghurt, ghee (clarified butter), honey, fruit, dates and rice, have been staples for some of the longest-lived people in the world who have been shown to be at remarkable levels of fitness. Pus is nasty sounding and there are many ways in which cellular material may be expressed in milk. BTW, you won't find me defending Monsanto's use of hormones which have largely been only lightly tested relative to the possible harm such compounds can cause. But I don't think that dairy is a universal poison either if raised in a traditional or organic environment. The yogic approach to food makes sense. If one form of diet is not suitable or if you feel constipated, change the diet and try some other Sattvic articles. This is Yukti. In the matter of food and drinks you should be a master. You should not have the least craving or sense-hankering for any particular food. You must not become a slave to any particular object. And there you have it as close as I could say...
