From the earliest days of capitalism in 18th century England there was a left wing which thought that they could make more money with a higher educated, more porductive working class who had a better life and a right wing which wanted the most money right now and favored crushing the working class. In the US the right wing capitalists have grown more and more in the ascendancy since 1945.As we can see in the cases of Germany and Japan in the 1930's, that ascendancy eventually results in military defeat and collapse.
