<doing the right thing> balderdash. There is no strategic wisdom and no moral authority in our invasion of Iraq -- we are not committed to "doing the right thing". We gave ourselves a license to follow the voices of ideologues who pursue a vision of US unilateralism -- a world where the US dictates the terms and conditions to the rest of the world -- and the world has an answer for this unilateralism: "screw you".
