I used Scotia for a while but switched to HSBC when I saw a survey that it was rated the best online broker in Canada. Not sure how it was rated that. :(

My main complaint is that the fees seem high. Execution of trades is fine unless the stock hasn't traded that day (think juniors) then you have to phone them. Their phone lines are open most of the day as they cater to the Hong Kong market as well as UK, US and Cda.

Let me know which one you decide on.

I just opened a small account with Scotia for my girlfriend.
This is also for me to do my DD and see if I want to switch my accounts there. What is it about Scotia you have trouble with or don't like?
