I guess the question is, memorable now or in ten years? I don't think I can recall the Best Picture from ten years ago. But, I think certain subjects are gonna be big news now and in the future, like China. For example, once the Chinese get a full taste of capitalism and its benefits, America is in REAL trouble.

Although I'm sure you're still compiling the list, I'd say, based on possible future impact, China/former 'third world' economic emergence and the Iraq stories are the biggest, along with terrorism and US polarization. The Red Sox story will be big in, say, another 86 years or so... :)
