At this late date what does he think the UN could even attempt to do? They cant put bodies in there now, because they will be killed and if we protect them we will not be protecting someone else. mike

Perhaps, or maybe he just sees nothing to be gained from picking a fight over Annon right now. He'll still be a corrupt figure head atop a feckless organization a few months from now, after the elections.

BTW, interesting column in the WSJ today speculating about getting election security help from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia. Not sure how likely that is, but it would make UN participation irrelevant if it happens.

Besides, who would the UN send? We're already there. ;-)
