It's getting real old hearing the same thing everyday, even from the guys on the PM threads. That is, "early buying and late day fade only signals more downside in the PM markets." Then you have the financial press continually pointing out that PM funds have been the worst of the year, and now is the time to get out whatever profits you may have. Then you have the technical fellows who keep banging on about the TA picture showing that the dollar is about to go on a major run, and the PM market is only tied to the dollar. Next is the President and all the king's men on TV non-stop saying how "wonderful" the economy is, how inflation will NOT come back (which is so easy if your official numbers ignore fuel, insurance, food, medical care -- you know, all the stuff no one really needs as much as another TV or VCR), how their policies are working right on schedule, how they have plans to cut the deficit in half, etc. Oh, and the ever-present CEOs, who, incidentally, are selling their own shares at RECORD paces, yet in every survey for American sheeple consumption, say they anticipate hiring next year in huge numbers, and they also see a great use of shareholder funds to be buying those shares in their companies that they so conveniently forget to say they are personally selling. What a setup! Sheeple send them money. They bid up for their company shares with said sheeple's money. They sell their personal shares to said sheeple and buy new high dollar items which gets reported as a positive for the economy that the "rich" are still spending. I'd spend too if millions of poorer people would give me their money to spend on expensive stuff I don't really need. I remember at the height of the 1999-2000 tech bubble, the sheeple were actually saying that these CEOs "deserved" several hundred million dollars a year in compensation because they were running the companies so well for the shareholders. Boy, I wish I had a few bridges to sell! Only in America! Could someone please steal something, blow something up, expose something, catch someone under a desk, or ANYTHING to reverse this false situation and unveil reality once and for all? I'm really sick of the markets only trading on momentum, rumor, manipulation, lies, bribes, technicals, etc. It's only a hollywood production anymore and reality holds no meaning. Reality is only what most people are told. If everyone believes we are economically sound, then it must be so, right? I remain, SOROS
