I lived in a bible based Christian communal organization about 35 years ago. I left after two years. I personally found that only a small percentage were really willing to make the sacrifice necessary. The vast majority let personal desires override the spiritual necessities. I met and worked with hundreds during that time so I think I got a good look. it makes it very hard to keep your faith when others are caught up in politics, etc. Here's a funny side note... I searched out and contacted (3 years ago) some of those I felt had really abused my trust at the time... None remembered hardly anything about that time...yet it had nagged me when I thought about it even 30+ years later. ...But asking them about those times enabled me to finally forgive...
