Unfortunately the federalization of crime goes on no matter who is president- it defies party line, imo. With 40k federal crimes now, I think it is safe to say that all president's administrations have contributed- though Healy argues that the number of crimes doubled in the somewhat recent past- so the problem is accelerating- at least according to Healy. I do not claim to know which federal crimes were added at what time- criminal law was never an area of law that I wanted to practice in.
