What on earth are you arguing in this post? As I recall, although it is several days ago and a lot has happened in the meantime, this whole debate started because I accused the U.S. forces of war crimes (well, so did the International Red Cross, and the U.N. is starting an investigation) because we seized Fallujah's main hospital when we began our attack. So why would you post articles that state exactly the same thing if you are attempting to disagree with me?

From your article:

"I believe there are two reasons for this change compared to last April. First, the decision to start operations by taking control of the hospital, so that there's no way for terrorists to pressure doctors (or doctors on their own hook) into preening for the cameras, especially al Jazeera's cameras."

Of course that also meant there was no way the doctors could treat patients, or give information about injuries and deaths to any of the independent groups who are trying to determine how many civilians the Americans are killing.

Regarding the "hostage slaughterhouses" in your post--these are the effect, not the cause of the American invasion. Against a heavily armed invading force, citizens resisting often become terrorists, having no choice, really. Then their friends from neighboring countries come to help. The fact that this happened was predictable and cannot be a justification for our destruction of a big city like Fallujah.
