Dan sleepily said as Ammo finally left our room, "Only a son of yours could think that was a fantastic date."

Actually, it sounds like a "perfect" kind of date
for someone who enjoys telling stories, acting,
or entertaining friends.

Just recently, I've had reason to reflect somewhat upon
the enjoyment that comes of story-telling (including writing).
For some, telling a story is a bit like having a tooth pulled.
It takes quite a struggle to jar one loose.
But for others, stories just seem to grow, or flow,
or something like that.
You can barely stop them when they want to happen.
If you try, they push like a river that threatens
to wash out a dam or overflow its banks.

And so it is that story-tellers sprinkle stories around,
here, there and everywhere. On pages, at parties,
on the net... just about anywhere and everywhere.

Maybe we should do that DNA thing Cobe's talking about.

Actually, the date sounds like a lot of fun to me, too. Winning a prize in front of your lady friend, and then her winning a prize, and then being treated to a nice steak dinner all sounds very wholesome and life-affirming.
