As of today, Hotmail users will no longer have their e-mails scanned by McAfee for viruses. This is due to Microsoft dumping the anti-virus company for rival Trend Micro (most widely known for the PC-cillin Internet Security software).

Whatever it was, McAfee must be pretty shocked to lose such a big account, since not only does it lose out on what must have been a large revenue stream, but also on free advertising to all those millions of Hotmail users around the world.
