Oh Croc, wonderful story! Please crosspost more often! I am embarrassed because I was a Dale Evans. I had a fringed vest and skirt. You would have found me sadly lacking in the proper machisma department. That was before my Mickey Mouse Christmas when I got not just the ears, but a pleated skirt and shirt with Mickey Mouse Club on it, just like Annette. I even changed my name (PenniAnne) to PenniAnnette on all my school papers. I can't remember when my Shirley Temple phase occurred. It came with tap shoes and a huge desire for ringlets which my poor mother gamely tried to create with my stickstraight hair. I wonder if I was ever me.
