Suspect elections would include the 2000 Gorton-Cantwell Senate race, the 2002 win for the Seattle monorail, and probably a number of state legislative races. (At the beginning of next year, I'll be looking for legislative races where the failure to check these signatures may have made a difference. If you have any tips for races to look at, let me know.)

If there is a silver lining in all this it is perhaps, just maybe, we will get some effective election reform out of this, and the King County machine will be stopped.

Also, if they manage to steal this election and Gregoire is put in as governor, Rossi likely will challenge Cantwell for her Senate seat in 2006. He now has the statewide name recognition to do so, and I think he could beat Sen. Maria "Can't Do" Cantwell handily.
