Nixon was a genius, sometimes an evil one. I wonder how the world would have evolved if he had won in 1960. I dont think that he ever would have been suckered into the vietnam war. What about cuba? Would he have made JFK bay of piggies gaffe. There probably would have been no southern strategy either as moderate republicans and northern dems move to civil rights albeit more slowly than LBJ did post kennedy assassination.
