Good point. Afghanistan, as lawless as it is (and as incompetent as Karzai is) is still a lot more stable compared to Iraq, mainly because the US didn't go it alone.

Iraq, on the contrary, is entirely ours. We broke it, so we own it. Elsewhere on SI, some bozo was talking about getting 2000 Turkish soldiers to Mosul to fight the insurgents there. Sorry, but no world leader is as stupid as Dumbya, to get his tail stuck in the trap called Iraq!

Now there are other posters here who assure me we are imposing a terrible thing - democracy - on people who don't want it (richnorth). Another poster (dipy) assures me the democracy and everything else we've done there is a farce and a fraud.
