Nick's timing was as bad as CW's. CW still whines that he never got as many presents as Ammo, who also reaped the benefits of after Christmas sales and got lots of halfprice toys. Sadly, it is true. I am going looking for recipes for Tres Leches cake. I think we had it in Mexico a couple of summers ago, but the desserts at this place were NOT good so I wasn't impressed. CW loves red velvet. Cream cheese frosting isn't too hard, but I agree with you about frosting in general. I am always spooning it off the plate as it slides and smacking it back on. Artful curls and whirls have no place on my cakes. They are utilitarian at best, half bald at worst.
