"This is just the religious lefts aim to explain conditions that don't fit their model."

Wrong. Look up chaos theory. Weather and climate are chaotic systems.

Perhaps you didn't notice that the extreme cold was preceeded by extremely warm temperatures this summer and many hurricanes that were caused by those high temperatures. They are related. The additional warming causes storms to become large and unruly earlier, and so they travel laterally across the oceans instead of meandering north the way storms did before global warming. The stronger trade winds resist the movement north. It is the storms moving north that pushes the cold air out of the arctic. Now storms can't generally penetrate the arctic circle until much later in the season and so the cold air is is more concentrated (Even though arctic air is on the average, warmer now than in the past). When it is finally pushed out, it is pushed out in extremely cold burts.

The simple explanations on Faux are designed to confuse the weak thinkers, not to enlighten.
