ap seems to have attempted the robin hood defense, and in so doing attempted to avoid saying "extortion" and "insider trading" out loud... a little smoke here, a well placed mirror there and... drum roll please...

unfortunately, this diversion led to a wholesale failure by burke to pull any gynormous rabbit outta any hat... or, put up any defense that addressed any charge...

meanwhile every defense witness burke put up seemed to have painted elgindy as less than robin hood... making the extortion and insider trading charges stand out in big glaring neon...

that's my 2 cents, but then reading this stuff in the news doesn't tell the real story... how the press painted the site is far from how we saw events, but that does not matter in a court room.

the jurry only sees the theatric production presented by the directors... and the best directors usually win...

in this case, the reputation of every short associated with elgindy is a loser.
