If we left SS alone like you want to, then by 2042, a whole lot more old people will be dying of starvation and exposure as the system goes bankrupt, because people like you managed to block reform through your lack of foresight. You see, what you are, is short-term compassionate/long term indifferent. Your short term compassion sounds politically correct, but your long term indifference will lead to the insolvency of the very system that protects against the destitution of many future seniors.
