I honestly think George W. Bush could be talked into a plan like this, so long as there is enough slush somewhere to cut spending without hurting defense or national security. It APPEARS we are heading now out of any possible recession so now is the time to address SPENDING and the best way to do it with the best excuse is SAVING SS. The problem is, is there ANYONE in DC with enough BRAINS to think of what I suggested? Seems to me first words out of their mouth is always INCREASE TAXES or some other scheme to make the TAXPAYER PAY.
As to Public retirement plans, it has ALWAYS aggravated me that THEY give themselves something OVER AND ABOVE the people (who supposedly are their bosses) get. jdn
